About Fees

Boronia Park Medical Centre provides bulk billing services provided you present a valid Medicare card. Non-Medicare cardholders will be charged standard consultation fees. Certain treatments and procedures might incur a gap fee, please discuss with the doctors should you have any concerns. For newborns, parents will have the pay out of pocket for consultations, which then can be claimed back from Medicare when the newborns have received their Medicare Card. Please request a receipt from our friendly receptionists to aid with the claiming process.

If you have any questions regarding fees, please get in touch via our practice number – (07) 3809 2333. We'll be happy to help you out.

Concessions and Health Care Cards

If you are a concession card holder - the holder of a pension card, health care card etc. - we encourage you to present this card to reception upon your visit, along with your Medicare / DVA card.

Travelers/Overseas Student

If you are a traveler or an oversears student and do not have a Medicare card - standard consultation fees will apply. You may, however, be eligible for reimbursement by your travel insurance or OSHC company.

Other Consultations

Some consultations are not eligible for bulk billing and will incur charges. These include: commercial driver license medical assessments, insurance medicals, pre-employment checks and work cover. Please call our practice for more information regarding these services.

About Appointments

Boronia Park Medical Centre allows 10 minutes for a standard consultation. Please notify our reception staff if you require a longer appointment for paperwork or have more than one issue. If you are uncertain as to what length of appointment you require, please ask our friendly receptionist at the time of booking.

We kindly advise our patients to arrive five minutes before their appointment time to allow us to run as close to schedule as possible. Occasionally our doctors run late - this may be due to emergencies, or unexpected events faced by patients.

Also we kindly advise our new patients to arrive ten minutes prior to their appointment to allow time for staff to create their chart and complete new patient paperwork.

Your Privacy

We take patient privacy very seriously and adhere our patient policy standards strictly with RACGP Standards for general practices (5th edition). For a full copy of our practice's policy on patient privacy policy, please click here

Walk-In Appointments

Recalls & Reminders

A member of the practice team will contact you via SMS or phone to notify you once your results/reports are ready for review. However, results are not given out over the phone due to privacy and confidentiality. We advise you to make an appointment to see one of our doctors.

Medical Advice

Unfortunately, the receptionists are not allowed to provide any answers/information for any medical related questions due to legal requirement. We kindly advise you to book an appointment with one of our doctors to discuss the issues at your convenience.

Our doctors are unable to take phone calls when they are consulting, please ask the reception staff to take a message.

QML Pathology is located on site for your convenience. It opens on Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 3:00pm and closed for public holidays and some school holidays.
